The Garden of Jewels: The story of a young entrepreneur who flourished in quarantine.
Amid the uncertainty brought by the 2020 quarantine, a 22-year-old woman named María found the perfect opportunity to turn her passion into a business. Since she was a child, she had always felt a deep connection with nature and, at the same time, a fascination with jewelry. During the long days of confinement at home in Burgos, this blend of passions blossomed into an idea that would change her vision: "The Garden of Jewels."
With free time and basic materials at her disposal, María began photographing small pieces inspired by nature. Each earring, ring, and necklace reflected the delicacy and detail of plants. It was her partner who suggested she share her work on social media, and she quickly gained followers. She began receiving orders not only from Burgos but also from other cities in Spain. After a few months, she had to expand her makeshift workshop at home, and what began as a hobby soon transformed into the business that would change her life.
Today, "The Garden of Jewels" continues to grow and expand into the jewelry boxes of many women, always with new collections inspired by plants that María painstakingly researches. Her story is an example of how, even in the darkest moments, life-filled ideas can be born, and how passion, nature, and entrepreneurship can flourish in the most unexpected ways.
